Waluigi posessed. This is his main appearance for the majority of the game.

Waluigi is the secondary antagonist of Five Nights at Wario's: Return to the Factory. He is active starting Night 1. He attacks through the right window.

APPEARANCE

Waluigi, unlike Wario, is not very muscular, but extremely tall, slightly taller than Peach. He has a pink, pointed nose, and a black mustache, despite having brown hair. Waluigi wears purple overalls and a lighter purple shirt and hat. He also wears white gloves, and brown, pointed shoes.

After Waluigi was posessed by his cursed soul, his pupils went missing, and now has stains on his clothes, presumably from wandering around the factory for years. His arms are also much longer than they were when he was alive, in some instances almost reaching the floor.

BEHAVIOR

Waluigi first becomes active on Night 1. His speed increases more and more as the nights go on. Unlike Wario, he takes one set path to the Office.

PATHS

Unlike Wario and Luigi, Waluigi only has one path to the Office, starting at the Lobby, then going through the MachineryMiddle Hall (not visible on cams), and the Data Office before reaching the right window.

ATTACKING

After moving forward from the Data Office, Waluigi will appear at the right window once you turn on the right light. You must close the door on Waluigi in order for him to go away, very similarly to Wario.

LEAVING

If he leaves from the window (you have to keep the right door shut for a certain amount of time), he can retreat to the Lobby, the Machinery, or the Middle Hall. He may also exit the building after leaving, making him invisible on the cameras before entering again through the Lobby.

KILLING THE PLAYER

If you fail to shut the door for long enough, the right control buttons will break. This means Waluigi has snuck into the Office. If you pull up the camera or wait long enough, Waluigi will kill the player, resulting in the player having to start the night over again, in a similar manner to Wario. However, unlike Wario, Waluigi deactivates when the power cuts out.

FUN FACTS

Waluigi%20Icon_edited.png
  • Waluigi is the only character that moves in a line to the Office and only has one path. Mario has one path through the computer but is not seen on the cameras.

  • Waluigi had a completely different model early in development, taken from Project M. The Project M model was replaced with the original SSBB model to stay authentic to the old Wario's games.

  • His sound effect when he is in a room that is Audio Only comes from the original Five Nights at Wario's, when he is in the Bathrooms.

  • Most of Waluigi's code was copied and pasted from Wario, although edited to match Waluigi's alterable values.

  • Waluigi had a scrapped jumpscare that resembled his jumpscare from Five Nights at Wario's 3.

  • Waluigi enters the Office through the right window, unlike the original Five Nights at Wario's, where he enters through the left door like Wario.

  • The Lobby is the only room where both Wario and Waluigi can be seen in the same room.

  • Waluigi had missing teeth as part of his design very early in development, with the Project M model. This can be seen in various pictures from the Unused Content section.

  • Waluigi does not have any sound cues when seen on the cameras, however a sound cue is played once the player sees Waluigi in the Middle Hall the first time during the night.

BACKSTORY

In 1988, Waluigi tagged along with Wario to open up Wario's Cafe. The cafe was successful enough to the two men to open up their own fast food factory. Waluigi still acted as co-founder of Wario's Fast Food Factory, although he was a little jealous of Wario's fame, as his own fame was not as great. He then began to speculate if Wario actually invented his secret recipe, instead of borrowing it, buying it, or stealing it.

Despite that nagging question, he still worked with Wario a lot to make the factory successful. However, one night, when Waluigi heard Wario was in danger in the factory, he and Mario, Luigi, and Peach rushed in to the factory, only to encounter Bruno Gate in the Wario Man costume. Waluigi was the first of the five workers to die.

After Bruno killed all five workers, their cursed souls posessed their dead bodies, bringing them back to life, which included Waluigi.

Richard McRoy was hired as a night guard 7 years later when the factory re-opened. During his night shifts, Waluigi and his other friends hunted down Richard, trying to kill him.
